Bias Incident Report Form

We are committed to an inclusive learning and work environment that is free from bias: unreasoned or unfair distortion or judgement in favor or against a person or group. Bias incidents include, but are not limited to, bullying, exclusion, defacement, intimidation, mocking, racism, sexism, stereotyping and undermining. Students, staff, and faculty members who are a witness or victim to acts of bias should report their concerns to the Chief Intercultural Engagement Officer at 630-752-7553. If there is a physical safety concern, bias incidents may also be reported to Wheaton College Public Safety at 630.752.5911. If you are in an emergency situation, please contact the Wheaton Police at 911.

Wheaton College takes all bias incidents reports seriously. Every effort will be made to evaluate your report promptly and to improve our campus climate. However, the timing and manner in which the College addresses the report will vary depending on the impact and whether you wish to remain anonymous. Responses to bias-related incidents include, but are not limited to, meetings with affected parties, support for affected parties, dialogue, campus programming and appropriate disciplinary actions for offenders.
