Please use this online form to report any type of bias activity.
It is important to report all bias incidents, no matter how minor they may seem. If you have questions about whether to report or what is likely to occur if you do, please contact any of the following:
- Dr. Amy HowardSenior Administrative Officer for Equity & Community
- Dr. Glyn HughesDirector of Institutional Equity & Inclusion
- Dr. Joe BoehmanDean of Richmond College
- Dr. Mia Reinoso GenoniDean of Westhampton College
Bias Activity Reports are reviewed promptly and, unless they are submitted anonymously, are also acknowledged promptly. Acknowledgments typically address the support needs of those affected, request additional information about the incident, and explain next steps and possible actions. Bias Incident Reports may be referred to and/or shared with offices or individuals responsible for investigating these incidents. Members of the Bias Resource Team may meet to discuss the community-level effects of a given incident and - following established guiding principles - determine the appropriate course(s) of action. In many cases the Bias Resource Team itself does not directly follow-up with victims or those reporting incidents, especially if it is determined that support is already being provided. If you have questions about the status of a report you submitted, please contact any of the people listed above.
We encourage members of our community to report bias activity that they believe are criminal acts to the University of Richmond Police in person (1st floor of Special Programs Building) or by phone by calling 9-1-1, (804) 289-8911, or (804) 289-8715. Additional crime reporting details are available on the UR Police Department website.
If you are reporting a concern related to sexual misconduct (including sexual harassment, nonconsensual sexual intercourse, nonconsensual contact, dating/relationship violence, sexual exploitation, stalking, or hazing), please complete the Sexual Misconduct Incident Reporting Form. Another option is to share your concern directly with the University of Richmond’s Deputy Title IX Coordinator, Tracy Cassalia, at 804-289-8464.
