SUNY Oneonta is committed to fostering a safe and welcoming campus community for all students; in turn it is the responsibility of each person within the community to join in creating an environment in which others can thrive without fear of hate or bias.
Students who feel that they have been the target of, or who have witnessed a hate or bias incident may use this online form to make the College aware of these incidents. In addition, bias incidents may be reported through other reporting options outlined on the Bias Acts and Hate Crimes webpage. This form will be submitted directly to the Bias Acts Response Team (BART). You may view the members of the team by visiting the Bias Acts and Hate Crimes webpage.
The Bias Acts Response Team’s role is as follows:
1. Assist those who feel that they have been targeted in bias incidents to identify all of the remedies that are available to them.
2. Provide educational (not disciplinary or judicial) remedies in response to complaints of bias incidents (e.g., facilitated conversations for those who were involved, passive or active educational programming for groups, etc.)
3. Maintain a record of bias incidents and generate reports for use by the campus community.
If this is an EMERGENCY situation, CALL 911 or contact the University Police Department at 607-436-3550. Do not use this form to report events that present an immediate threat to health or safety.
When reporting hate or bias incidents through this form, please also note the following:

Also, if you want to receive a copy of your report, you will need to enter an email address in the top section. If you want to make an anonymous report, you may use Silent Witness Form.
