Basic Needs provides services to students experiencing a current emergency or crisis such as food insecurity, housing insecurity, and/or health-related or medical expenses.
Important note: Thank you for taking the time to complete this form. The Basic Needs Team reviews referrals daily, Monday-Friday, during regular business hours 8am-5pm. This form is NOT monitored 24 hours a day and does not notify first responders. If this is an emergency, please call 9-1-1 or contact University Police at (562) 985-4101.
Eligibility requires you to be a currently enrolled student, experiencing food and/or housing insecurity, and/or experiencing an unforeseen circumstance. Grant maximum is $1,500 for the school year (August-May). Once your application is submitted, you will be contacted by a Basic Needs staff member via phone or your CSULB email within 2-3 business days.
