Babson College is committed to fostering and supporting a diverse and inclusive community. We acknowledge that members of our community, intentionally and unintentionally, may engage in behavior that causes harm to others related to personal and social identities. The Bias-Related Experience Report is a tool designed to give voice and agency to those who have witnessed or experienced harm related to their identity. The College is committed to gathering insight into bias-related experiences in an effort to better understand the campus’ climate around diversity and inclusion and to respond appropriately through constructive dialogue and intentional training. Our intent is to create a more enlightened and inclusive campus experience for all Babson community members.
The Bias-Related Experience Response Team (BERT) reviews each report with the purpose of creating a space for the impacted person to feel heard and to identify opportunities for the Babson community to better live our values of diversity and inclusion. The majority of responses from this team include gathering additional context, offering appropriate support/resources, and utilizing informal mechanisms to educate and repair harm. Adjudication, if and when applicable, will occur through designated channels.
